Mike Sampietro

Mike grew up on his parent’s farm in Westwold, B.C., where from an early age he was interested in machines both big and small. He spent his childhood helping run the farm as well as driving and working on anything with a motor. As a teenager, he started working at a repair and fabricating shop and then quickly began his journey to becoming a ticketed heavy-duty mechanic. Once he completed his schooling, he worked for both contractors and equipment dealers as a field mechanic and was then promoted to service manager of one of the larger heavy equipment dealers in Kamloops B.C.

In 2012, Mike got the opportunity to be one of the founding partners in Southstar Equipment; a globally recognized manufacturer of equipment attachments used in the forestry industry. Now with 24 years of experience in the construction, logging, and equipment business, he is the VP of TimberMAX USA.

Mike now lives on his farm with his partner Tayla and their four kids. While he still enjoys farming and working on his property and equipment, his position at TimberMAX allows him to continue his work and love of troubleshooting, developing systems and procedures, and getting to know customers and their operations.
